The details:

As a genius web developer you will be responsible for planning, designing and building back-end architecture and frameworks for Content Management Systems, E-Commerce websites, Rich Internet Applications, traditional websites and mobile websites.

You'll be teamed up with a Genius Front-End Web Developer and Interactive Designers to produce high quality websites and web applications. The projects you work on will always be of the highest creative and design quality so it will count in your favor if you have digital agency and digital marketing experience combined with a web development background.

You'll be facing clients with the creative director to help analyze existing back-end systems. You have a knack for articulating digital business requirements and communicating it well, verbally and in writing.

Must have knowledge, skills and experience:

• You can and do apply business logic to your design and development decisions.
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills (Read and write English and Afrikaans fluently).
• You have the ability to define and write the scope of a project and to document the planning and development process with great forethought.
• You know E-Commerce design patterns and have experience integrating front-end design with E-Commerce functionality using proprietary back-end frameworks or building it from the ground up.
• You have ample experience in CMS design and development.
• You understand interaction design and the importance of usability,
• You care about accessibility, web standards and cross browser compatibility.
• You are familiar with the practice of User Experience Design (UXD) and Information Architecture (IA).
• You have the ability to articulate complex interactions with sitemaps, wireframes and you are able to document user journeys and scenarios.
• You have a well-rounded knowledge of eMarketing/Digital marketing strategies and tactics such as SEO, PPC, Adwords, Web Analytics, Mobile marketing and E-mail marketing and you have experience in helping to implement some of these tactics.
• You are familiar with the nuances of Social Media and Web 2.0.
• You are familiar with agile development methodologies and principles
• You have 4-8 Years of agency/development experience
• You have excellent web server administration and web hosting knowledge
• You know these programming and coding languages like that back of your hand - listed in order of importance:
  • PHP & MySQL
  • JavaScript, AJAX,
  • XML
  • XHTML & CSS
  • Flash ActionScript 2 and 3 advantageous
• You have the following essential software knowledge:
  • Adobe Photoshop CS3/4 (Any other Adobe software skills are advantages)
  • MS Office
  • Wireframing Software (Visio, SmartDraw, Omnigraffle)
  • Mac and/or PC literate

Qualifications:

You have a 3/4-year degree in Computer Science or a 3/4-year diploma in Information Technology. In addition, any marketing, business, design and programming qualifications you have will be favorable.
